There’s less than a month for the year’s premier conference focused on highway, transportation, and utility infrastructure contractors! While you’re waiting to attend the event on November 8-9th, plan your days by checking out the following two education sessions.

Working with the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance, and with cooperation from Virginia’s Department of Transportation, TRIP released a new Virginia report. The report, “Keeping Virginia Mobile: Providing a Modern, Sustainable Transportation System in the Old Dominion State,” examines Virginia’s road and bridge conditions, congestion, traffic safety, economic development, and projects and programs completed or underway to improve the transportation system. In addition to statewide data, the report includes regional breakdowns. The report also looks at the challenges Virginia faces to accommodate future transportation growth, maintain the existing system, and sustain adequate state transportation investment despite the funding impacts of highway construction cost inflation, increasing fuel efficiency standards, and the adoption of electric vehicles
